Hooray for Me!
Several months ago, I won second place in a writing contest over at the Specialist Games website. It was a contest to design a settlement in the Underhive of Necromunda. You can read my entry here.
Anyway, fast forward to this week, I finally got my prize in the mail! I won a blister of miniatures of my choice, so I picked some Space Marine ships for Battle Fleet Gothic. They arrived with the above note, signed by Andy Hall of Specialist games.
Girlfriend Update--
While Clare did survive the trip to Hobby Town alive, she was touched inappropriately by the cashier! See the comments on this post. I guess the next time I'm in Oak Park, I'm going to have to kick someone's ass!

I knew that when the ground shook the other day something big had happened. It turns out GW gave something away for free. Or did you have to send them $30 for shipping?
Now we can play Gothic! On to the next game before we even start the first; back to the good ole days!
BTW, I've got a couple of friends back home with the last name of Lynch. I can get them to come up and we'll be well on our way to our very own lynch mob. Then we can go around terrorizing retail clerks, and a special Hobbytown clerk in particular.
